What Is FRESHKOTE® Preservative Free?
FRESHKOTE® Preservative Free (PF) is a scientifically formulated lubricant eye drop designed to provide soothing, long-lasting relief for dry eye symptoms. Unlike traditional eye drops, it supports all three layers of the tear film, helping to nourish, protect, and hydrate the ocular surface while reducing irritation.

How FRESHKOTE® Preservative Free Works
FRESHKOTE PF is formulated with a patented polymer blend of polyvinyl alcohol and povidone, which work together to hydrate, stabilize, and restore the tear film for superior dry eye relief.
Supports All Layers of the Tear Film:
Mucoaqueous Layer – Hydration & Surface Protection
- Contains Polyvinyl Alcohol (2.7%), which mimics the eye’s natural mucin layer
- Adheres to dry areas on the ocular surface, making them water-attracting
- Ensures complete wetting of the eye for optimal hydration
Lipid Layer – Evaporation Control & Comfort
- Contains Povidone (2.0%), which integrates with the lipid layer
- Helps stabilize the tear film and reduce tear evaporation

High Oncotic Pressure – Reducing Inflammation & Protecting Cells

What Causes Dry Eye?
Dry eye occurs when your eyes don’t produce enough tears or when tears evaporate too quickly. Common causes include:
- Aging and health conditions
- Prolonged screen time
- Extended contact lens wear
- Post-surgical dryness (LASIK, cataract surgery)
- Low humidity environments
- Medications (antihistamines, antidepressants, etc.)
